The serie “76 jaar Vrijheid, Mobilisatie, Oorlog, Verzet en Bevrijding” in the Utrechtse Heuvelrug, Eemland, Gelderse Vallei en Overbetuwe, where important historic location of these areas in WWII are highlighted, consist of a total of 35 caches. This isn't a trail, but a serie with a varying offer off caches. These caches are layed on the occasion of the commemoration of 76 years of freedom on the 5th of May 2021.

We have always been very interested in the historic event of the Second World War. It has been a matter of time for us before we would make a serie of geocaches about this. In 2014 there were already big commemorations of D-Day in Normady on the 6th of June. In 2015, commemorations were also organized on a grand scale in the Netherlands, for the 70th commemoration of the liberation in May 1945. For us this was the moment to release the geocache serie “Oorlog & verzet” in the Utrechte Heuvelrug. This serie consisted of 10 geocaches with a bonuscache. This serie has been archived in the meantime.
